March 2007
Cheshire Woman of the Year
Last month (February) i was shocked and very pleasantly surprised to receive a letter informing me that I had been
nominated to be 'Cheshire woman of the year' by the NSPCC!!
The presentation luncheon will take place in Chester on Wed 21st
of March 2007. I cant wait, and feel so honored to have been nominated.
We are planning some fundraising events over the coming months for
the NSPCC as well as for other local charities so please keep checking
back for announcements. In addition if there is a charity or cause
close to your heart, however big or small, we would love to hear
about it and may choose to support it so please email me telling
me all about it.
Access audit
We have recently completed an access audit through the
Merseyside disability federation. Although the tea rooms is quite
small we have tried to make it as accessible as possible. However
the access audit has highlighted certain areas of improvement however
small and we will be working on incorporating these. We want Roses
Tea rooms to be accessible to everyone and are always happy to discuss
any issues with our customers. If you have any suggestions or issues
you would like to raise on this matter please email or call me.
New developments
Plans are underway to develop our current premises to
incorporate further services as well as to offer a larger seating
area (subject to all sorts of planning regulations and permits of
course). We are still at design stage and I would love to hear any
suggestions that you may have of services, products or even decor,
furniture etc that you would like to see however bizarre they may
seem. Once more email or call me with any suggestions and I promise
we will try to realize as many of your suggestions as possible!
