We went for the first time this evening, the welcome is true hospitality, nothing too much trouble. Food locally sourced and the chef had used the ingredients to full effect, flavours subtle and fresh and a great eveing was had by all! guider2Small and friendly but big on service and food!! Cakes to die for, locally sourced produce and well cooked and presented food make this a little haven. Andreas makes all feel welcome and you can enjoy a good saturday evening here but you must book. Otherwise just go and sample the afternoon teas with three tier plates with sandwiches and cakes you will enjoy. Juggsy1
Excellent food and a great friendly service, what more could you ask for? My whole family loves Roses, we all have our favourites and we make any excuse to visit. The cakes and scones are so delicious we always have to take at least one home too! VICANDAJ
Heaven! What a brilliant place to have breakfast, and better still, my husband is able to enjoy gluten free! Friendly people, just really, really lovely! Roman lady
If you haven't been to Roses for a cup of tea and a cake, you are definately missing out. the welcome is friendly, the cafe is clean and bright and the food is fabulous. The only downside is that it Andreas needs a bigger restaurant as its so popular you have to sometimes have to wait for a table...but all the best things in life are worth waiting for. Good Luck Andreas You deserve to win. Sarah
Excellent food, the service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Loraine
The cakes here are to die for! The staff are so friendly and always make you feel special, my 2 year old Calvin loves the cinnamon toast, and that's quite an accolade as he is a very fussy eater! Alibongo5
Definetly the best place in heswall for a great lunch and if you have room you must try their selection of cakes - naughty but nice! The staff are really friendly and very personable which goes a long way. Yellie1
The staff are always friendly and the food is delicious. I am fussy about cleanliness, and have to say that the tables, cutlery and crockery are always spotless. Highly recommended. Lindylu3
Myself and 4 friends enjoyed afternoon tea here yesterday and what a treat it was. The place is small but cosy. The food was delicious and there was a lot of choice available. Recommended to all. frenchbunny1992

Lovely homecooked organic food, served in a friendly efficient way, by Andreas, Jo and Marion. Makes such a change from the mass produced rubbish served generally. Susie and John Dixon
Just visited, good value afternoon tea, lovely food and very pleasent staff/owners. Well done. Many thanks. Jo H
Roses Tea Rooms is an oasis in a mass produced world. Michelle and Andreas are passionate about food and how it is served and presented. This really shows in the attention to detail and the knowledge that whatever you eat or drink it has been carefully sourced from the finest local, organic ingredients and lovingly prepared. The tastes are divine! The other thing I really like about Roses is their offerings for children, the afternoon tea is fab and makes children feel as special as the adults. Plus parents can relax in the knowledge that everything on the menu is freshly made from great ingredients with no hidden "nasties", a refreshing change! Caroline
I stop at this tea room when travelling in the Wirrel and it is my favourite for lots of reasons. The atmosphere is lovely - fresh decor with friendly and efficient service - nothing is too much trouble - its clear they really want you to have a good time and to enjoy the food. The teas and food are carefully selected and presented and the proportions are very generous indeed. In addition it is reassuring that where possible it is locally sourced and organic. For families with young children there is much choice and consideration - a rare thing indeed in this country. The whole approach is one of really endevouring to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience - a warm and welcoming pause in the day where you can feel a little pampered and indulge yourself. Well done Roses Cafe and good luck - you deserve to win! Louise E
Roses takes a different approach from most outlets. They focus on providing well sourced great quality ingredients put togehter with passion and are not shy to offer a home cooked style. This is what everyone wants however bigger cafes and restaurants seem to have forgotten it.There is something to suit everybody from cream teas to exotic Greek Meze. You can escape from it all in a pleasant atmosphere and enjoy the excellent service. Roses is certainly a Food Hero. pickory
Food is great and so are the staff Tina
Michelle and Andreas make evrybody feel special, from a first time visit to regular customers. The traditional food has a modern twist and nothing here is boring. The cakes are a delight and the smell on a Meze night is to die for! Jan K
Unique menus, varied healthy and ethically sourced. Attention to detail is clearly paramount here. Lovely to experience traditional tea service with delicious home produced foods and a relaxing atmosphere. Child friendly with healthy options for parents made easy and the children love it ! The only tea rooms on Merseyside to have the prestigious tea guild award too ! a truly lovely experience !!! Liz
When I visited Roses Tea Rooms with my children I was so impressed. It is rare to find a venue that caters for both adults and children with fantastic fresh food. The local ingredients used make me feel as though I am giving my children a fresh healthy lunch. Roses even ensured they did not offer the cakes on the beautiful afternoon tea stand until the children had eaten all of the sandwiches and fruit - I can't think of many places that actually help parents like this! At night Roses is transformed into a wonderful restaurant with cypriot food - a definite local food hero! Leprechaun
